Melanie Ann Turnbaugh

Melanie Ann Turnbaugh, age 62, of Baldwin, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Melanie was the beloved daughter of Patricia Ann (Thompson) Turnbaugh and the late Gerald Reid Turnbaugh.

Melanie was a 1982 graduate of Fallston High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from the University of Baltimore. She dedicated many years of service as a Sexton at St. James Academy, where she was employed from 1998 until 2025. A devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hydes, she lived a life rooted in faith and community.

Melanie had a deep love for the arts and found joy in painting and drawing. She cherished nature, animals, and especially her horse. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her nieces and nephews.

She is lovingly survived by her brother, Gerald Turnbaugh, and his wife Rita; and her sisters, Donna Heslin and Tana Dunn. Also, survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
