Mel Burton

Melvin Willard Burton, Jr., age 68, of Perry Hall, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Born in Baltimore, Melvin was the beloved son of the late Melvin Willard Burton, Sr., and Shirley Marie (Mank) Burton.

Melvin was a hardworking and generous man who owned and operated B&B Remodelers for his entire working career. He took pride in his craftsmanship and was always willing to lend a hand to friends with their home projects. Melvin especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories with each of them.

He is lovingly survived by his two daughters, Jeanine Ray and her husband Keith, and Kristen Burton. He was a devoted grandfather to Connor Ray, Cassie Burton, Haydn Burton, and Wyatt Slobozien. Melvin is also survived by his sister Sharon Kukla and her husband Frank, and his brother Michael Burton and his wife Kathy. He is also survived by his niece, Danielle Burton, and nephew, Michael Burton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Melvin’s memory may be made to BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter).
