Mary Beatrice Walker

Mary Beatrice Walker, age 96, of Fallston, Maryland, passed away on August 15, 2024, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in York, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Beniah and Minnie (Armacost) Layden and the beloved wife of the late Lewis Harry Walker. Mary lived in Harford County for most of her life and worked as an assembly line worker for Black & Decker in Hampstead, Maryland, for 27 years.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mary’s love for her family was evident in everything she did. She had a talent for crocheting and cross-stitching, creating beautiful pieces that her family will cherish.

Mary is survived by her sons, Rey (Mary Anne) Walker, Lewis Leroy Walker, and Keith (David) Walker; her daughter, Anita Louise (Steve) Welch; her grandchildren, Alex Peters, Jeremy (Amy) Yale, Jessi Walter, and Jason (Velisha) Walter; her great-grandchildren, Ariana Yale, Tucker Rando, Jordan Yale, Lani Rando, and Kaya Walter; and her son-in-law, Brad Walter, brother-in-law, Richard (Ruth) Walker, and cherished friends Chris and Linda Phillips, and Don and Christina Levitt.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Evelyn Marlene Walter, and her sister, Ida Mae Beinhower.
