Mary Ruth Fortner Heim

Mary Ruth Fortner Heim, age 62, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on February 6, 2012 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Burnsville, NC, she was the daughter of Virginia Dare Fortner Geisler of Middle River, MD and Dewitt Styles. She retired as a Clerical Supervisor from the State of Maryland where she had been employed since the age of 18. A member of Mountain Christian Church, she was a gentle, kind and soft spoken person who was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Heim is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard Heim of Bel Air, MD; son, Merrill Heim and wife, Sherry, of Street, MD; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her father she was predeceased by her son, Michael Wayne Heim.
