Mary "Bess" Elizabeth Ridge

Mary Elizabeth “Bess” Ridge, age 73, of Rosedale, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the beloved daughter of the late Melvin Charles Ridge and Rose Mary (Cunningham) Ridge.

Mary was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Michelle Karczeski, and her loving son, Thomas Hanlin, Jr. Mary was the proud grandmother of Thomas Hanlin III, Matthew Greezicki, Ryan Greezicki, and Carter Hanlin. She is also survived by her dear siblings, Mary Catherine Rada, Michael Ridge, Patricia Biddle, William Ridge, and Angela Ridge.

Mary will be remembered for her smile, gentle spirit and kind heart. She loved gardening and flowers, found great joy in caring for all animals—especially cats—and cherished every moment spent with her family. She was also an avid reader, particularly fond of fairy tales.
