Mary Anne Brown

Mary Anne Brown of Abingdon, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

Born in Washington D.C., Mary Anne was the beloved daughter of the late Francis Patrick Dollymore and the late Mary Louise (Leonard) Dollymore.

Mary Anne shared more than 40 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Dennis Brown. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy in life was caring for her family. An amazing cook, Mary Anne was known for her salad and homemade pasta sauce, which brought family and friends together around the table. She was always thinking of others, offering kindness, compassion, and gentle encouragement to everyone she met. Her loving personality and warm spirit made a lasting impression on all who knew her.

For many years, Mary Anne was a dedicated employee of Klein's Shoprite, where she built many lasting friendships. Patrons were known to get in her line specifically to see and talk to her. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach and looked forward to family vacations in Ocean City.

Mary Anne is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis Brown; her cherished daughter, Mary Frances Brown; her brothers, Patrick Dollymore and John Dollymore; her sister, Kathleen MacKinnon; her beloved angel dog, Cheddar; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
