Mary Frances Adamson

June 1, 1957 — May 21, 2025

Mary Frances Adamson, age 67, of Edgewood, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025. Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Henry R. Champagne and Mary B. (McLaughlin) Callinan.

A proud Bostonian, Mary was raised in Somerville and graduated from Arlington Catholic School in 1975. A devout Catholic, she was known for her deep faith, resilient spirit, and unwavering love for her family. Mary was a loving wife, devoted mother, stepmother, and cherished grandmother. Family was her entire world.

She is survived by her husband, Donald A. Adamson, Jr.; her loving children, Eric Carr and his wife Debra, Danielle Carr, Stuart Adamson, and Eileen Neil and her husband Howard; and her treasured grandchildren, Alexis Price, Chloe Carr, Malaya Price, Nolan Adamson and Arthur Neil. Mary also leaves behind her dear siblings, Laurie McClure and her husband Tim, Theresa Sanseverino and her husband Paul, Tim Champagne, and Megan Champagne, as well as her beloved niece, Amanda McClure; and her doctor, nurses, and technicians at Fresenius Dialysis Clinic, as well as countless loving brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary is also fondly remembered by her lifelong best friend since third grade, Joann Hayes, and her beloved friend Chickie.

A woman of many talents and passions, Mary was an accomplished artist who loved painting and drawing. She found joy in music, eating out, light houses, history, geography, and genealogy. She was also an animal lover, especially fond of dogs. Throughout her illness, Mary remained remarkably strong—never complaining, never giving up—serving as a source of inspiration and strength to those around her. She was a true legend to all who were lucky enough to know her.

To honor Mary and her love of animals, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to BARCS at Donate to BARCS — Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) or the ASPCA at Your Gift Could Save a Life | ASPCA or Maryland School for the Blind at Maryland School for the Blind – See Beyond.
