Marvin Warren Spriggs Jr.

Marvin Warren Spriggs Jr., age 86, of Hanover, PA, passed away on October 30, 2011 at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover, PA. Born in Meadowview, VA, he was the son of the late Marvin Warren Spriggs Sr. and Julia Isabelle Widner Spriggs, and husband of the late Alpha Mae Ingram Spriggs.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served our country during WWII. Formerly of Joppa, MD he was a steelworker and a member of the VFW in Princeton, WV, the Shriners of Athens, WV, and the Christian Missionary Alliance of Edgewood, MD where he was a founding member and served for over 30 years.

Mr. Spriggs is survived by his sisters, Etta Neal of Abingdon, VA, Marie Brown and Zona Stewart of Fort Worth, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth W. and Jackson A. Spriggs; and sisters, Margaret Neal, Bertha Royston, and Helen Parris.
