Marianna Putnam

Marianna Putnam, age 82, of York, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, at Celebration Villa in York, Pennsylvania. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Marianna was the beloved daughter of the late Shade and Elizabeth (Deets) Streett and the cherished wife of the late Hayward L. Putnam.

A woman of deep faith, Marianna was a devoted and active member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, where she found joy in teaching Sunday School and serving her congregation as both an Elder and Deacon. Her warmth and generosity extended to her career as a daycare provider, where she cared for her daycare children as if they were her own.

Marianna enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, such as reading novels, taking day trips, and sharing meals at her favorite restaurants. Her love for family, faith, and community was a guiding force throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Elizabeth Louise Rangel; grandchildren, Melissa Rangel, Jacob Holt, and Summer Putnam; and great-grandchildren, Amora Rangel, Tripp Putnam, and Lee Rangel.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marianna was predeceased by her sons, Edward Lee Putnam and Timothy Sean Putnam, as well as her brother, William Streett.
