Margaret Boppert Fulton, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in Belcamp, Maryland. Born in Staten Island, New York, before moving to New Jersey, Margaret was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret Mary (Dann) Boppert and Walter Justus Boppert, II.

Margaret was the devoted wife of her college sweetheart, Douglas Fulton, whom she married in 1979. She was a loving mother to Emma (Brandon) Stephan and Christopher Fulton, and a proud and cherished nana to Conner Stephan and Chloe Stephan. She is also survived by her siblings: Walter Boppert, III; Patricia Boppert; Christopher Boppert; John Boppert; and Mary Beth Boppert Boehm, as well as many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Margaret earned her bachelor’s degree in French from Montclair State University. During her Junior year of college, she studied abroad in Lyon, France, a country she dearly loved and enjoyed revisiting throughout her life. After college, Margaret spent five years working for a French steel company, Creusot-Loire. She also worked as a middle and high school French teacher and a legal secretary over the years. She retired in October 2020 after 11 years as a legal secretary for Ceconi & Cheifetz, LLC in Summit, New Jersey. After retirement, Margaret and Doug moved to Maryland to take on their new favorite roles of grandparents.

Margaret found great joy in reading, cooking, baking, listening to music, gardening, traveling, writing, playing the guitar, and her cats. She especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren. She also loved visiting the New Jersey beaches and the lakes of New York. She was a wonderful person and a great friend who will be missed by all.
