Obituary

John Weaver was born on May 12, 1942 in Essex, Maryland to Chester and Mary Weaver. He was little brother to Duke and, throughout his life, he admired and looked up to his big brother.

John grew up around the water and he loved being on the water and near the water. He owned a home on Middle River and rented boat slips from his property for many years before moving to Harford County. In his teen years, he worked at a marina owned by his father and uncle. He later served in the Army National Guard, alongside his brother, and worked as a technician during the 1960s at Bendix Corporation, back when that company played a major role in producing military radar systems. John earned his AA degree in Electronics and later partnered with an engineering colleague from Bendix. Together they owned and operated Middle River Electronics, a marine supply and electronics specialist company, still in business today with John’s nephew, Darren Weaver, at the helm.

John approached everything with unwavering dedication and an absolute refusal to quit. After retiring from his marine business, he remained actively involved in managing his rental properties right up to the end of his life.

John passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026. He is now living in the glorious presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He was deeply loved by all who knew him, brought immense joy to those around him, and will be profoundly missed. He is survived by his loving family and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Oak Grove Baptist Church. https://www.oakgrovebaptistmd.com/
