Mr. M. "Mike" Robert Kenyon, age 86, of Joppa, MD, passed away on September 12, 2014 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. He was born in Baltimore and at the age of 16 he hitchhiked across America. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked at Bethlehem Steel where he retired in the 1990's after 43 years of service. An avid motorcyclist, he was well known in the community and volunteered at Muddy Creek Forks Railway and Jerusalem Mill.
Mr. Kenyon is survived by his wife, Maria Josephine Kenyon; his son, William "Kris" C. Kenyon of Stroudsburg, PA; daughter, Kim Kraus of Street; brother, Walter F. Halsey of Tabb, VA; two grandchildren Jason and Daniel Kraus both of Street; great-grandson, Zane Kraus of Street; stepchildren, Elizabeth Ann Rosendale of Joppa, Henry F. Rosendale of Eldersburg and Thomas E. Rosendale of Forest Hill; and step-granddaughter, Mina Pearl Rosendale of Forest Hill. He was predeceased by his previous wife, Leta "Pete" Kenyon and his son, Kipling Kenyon.
