Lucy Irene Davis, age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in York, Pennsylvania. Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Lucy was the beloved daughter of Ernest Reginald Clough and Rosilda Mary (Jolin), who preceded her in death.
Lucy was the devoted wife of the late Richard Davis, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories. She was also preceded in death by her son, Emile Charlette.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Rangel, and her grandchildren, Melissa Rangel and Jacob Holt..
Lucy’s life was defined by compassion, creativity, and service. She had a deep love for animals, riding horses in her younger years and nurturing a lifelong fondness for dogs. She bred Rottweilers and German Shepherds, sharing her passion and knowledge with many. Her love for the outdoors was evident in the joy she found in nature, whether walking, riding, or simply appreciating the beauty around her.
A proud patriot, Lucy volunteered her time to support veterans and carried her love of country with her everywhere she went. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society, cherishing the friendships and laughter it brought.
Lucy delighted in crafting and baking, always eager to share her creations with family and friends. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her, and her home was often filled with the comforting aroma of her baked goods and the joy of her handmade treasures.
In her later years, Lucy resided at Celebration Villa, where she was surrounded by care, comfort, and companionship.
Her memory will be forever treasured by her family and all who loved her. Lucy’s legacy of kindness, patriotism, creativity, and devotion to animals will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.
