Lucy Cohee Armstrong, age 73, of Edgewood, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, in Edgewood, MD.
Lucy was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and was the beloved daughter of Stephen William Cohee and Margaret Virginia “Corrie” Cohee, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was the devoted wife of Donald Sedford Armstrong, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage. Lucy was a true family person who cherished time spent with her husband and loved ones.
Lucy was preceded in death by her sister, Sally (Norman) Zebley; Brother-in-law, Norman Spencer; and her niece, Bevy King.
She is survived by her sister, Nancy Spencer; her nieces, Diane Rice, Laurie Kress, and Christine Muddiman; Brother-in-law, John (Jody) Armstrong; her nephews, Justin Armstrong and Bailey Armstrong; great nieces, Lauren Foster and Emily Rice; and great nephews, Benner and Hyland Armstrong.
Lucy was the owner and operator of Main Street Appraisal Group in Edgewood, which she successfully ran for over 10 years. Earlier in her career, she taught pre-school at Loch Raven United Methodist Church. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Towson University.
Lucy was an avid reader. She loved being on the river, tending to her gardens, and caring for all her beloved pets. She also enjoyed traveling and took great pleasure in watching her husband play the flute with his band and attending his performances. A woman of compassion and service, Lucy volunteered with the Alzheimer’s Association, a cause close to her heart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
