LOUIS GIGLIO-TOS, age 70, of Churchville, died of a heart attack at Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, on January 11, 2003. Born in Cascinette, Italy, he was the son of the late Giacamo and Adele Fornero Giglio-Tos and the husband of the late Bianca Mary Salvatore Giglio-Tos. He immigrated to the United States when he was 15 years old. He supported himself through college at the Rochester Institute of Technology. In 1956, he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. Following college, he served in both the Coast Guard and the Army branches of the U.S. military. He retired from the Aberdeen Proving Ground after 36 years of service as a general engineer. During his tenure, in 1987, he received the prestigious Col. H.H. Zornig award. He enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also had a passion for wine making and gardening. He was happily married for 38 years to the former Bianca Salvatore.
Mr. Giglio-Tos is survived by four children, Maria Lynn Lusas of Bel Air, Anthony Jonathan Giglio-Tos of Forest Hill; Michael Luke Giglio-Tos of White Marsh, Susan Giglio-Tos of Wilmington, Delaware; and two grandchildren.
