Lorraine Frances Gasior

January 20, 1939 — July 6, 2025

Lorraine Frances Gasior, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Towson, Maryland, at the age of 86. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Kaniecki and Lillie V. (Frick) Kaniecki.

Lorraine was the devoted wife of the late Francis A. Gasior. Together they built a loving home and raised their two sons, Francis and Joseph, with deep faith and strong values.

She is survived by her sons, Francis Gasior and his wife Bernice, Joseph Gasior, and his wife Charlotte; her grandson Robert Gasior and his wife Erico; and her great-grandchildren, Kohki and Yuki. In addition to her parents and husband, Lorraine was also predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Jordan Grace.

A proud Baltimore native, Lorraine attended business school in her early years and later put those skills to good use working for an attorney in paralegal work, budgeting, and managing spreadsheets.

While she enjoyed her professional accomplishments, Lorraine found her greatest joy as a homemaker, actively supporting her sons through their school years. She participated in every aspect of their education, from bake sales and fundraisers to field trips. She was known for her incredible baking, particularly her walnut cakes, oatmeal, and chocolate chip cookies, which she shipped to her sons during their time in the Air Force. Each year, she would lovingly send a special birthday cake to them, no matter where they were stationed. She also baked regularly for her church community, which brought her great joy.

Lorraine’s faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She was active at the Shrine of the Little Flower in her early years, then St. Stephen’s, and in more recent years as a regular attendee at Sovereign Grace Church.

A true Orioles fan, Lorraine worked concessions at Memorial Stadium in her younger years, where she had the opportunity to meet several notable figures, including President Richard Nixon, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, and Brooks Robinson. She also loved having a green thumb and found peace and pride in gardening, as well as loved card games and board games with family and friends.

In honor of Lorraine’s generous spirit, contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors and/or the charity of your choice.
