Linda Frances Woods, age 85, of Jarrettsville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Havre de Grace, Maryland.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Antonio Carlo Strappelli and the late Marie Angela (Kruszynski) Strappelli.

Linda shared nearly 68 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, George Woods. Together they built a loving home centered on faith, family, and creating cherished memories with those they loved.

Linda's greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every moment spent with them and especially loved being a grandmother. Her grandchildren brought her endless happiness, and she delighted in making lasting memories with them through laughter, love, and special family gatherings. Her entire focus throughout her life was caring for and loving her family.

An exceptional cook, Linda was well known for her incredible shrimp salad, crab soup, and lasagna. She loved entertaining and welcomed family and friends into her home with warmth and generosity, often preparing large meals that brought everyone together around the table. Her hospitality and delicious cooking will be fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to share a meal with her.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, George Woods; her daughters, Sue (Joe) Sacha, Kathleen Embleton, and Leslie (Owen) Stewart; her son, Dave (Tina) Woods; her grandchildren, Kristy Sacha, Nick Sacha, Molly Brennan, and Lindsay (Pat) Mellon; and her great-grandchildren, Paul Mellon, Noah Mellon, and Jonah Mellon.
