Linda Rae Elasavage, age 80, of Churchville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 2, 2025. Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Andrew and Antoinette (Lubiani) Maszaros.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kurt Markus Elasavage; daughters Anne-Marie Reiber, Catherine Johnson, and Patricia Bowie; and her brother Mike Maszaros.
Linda is survived by her loving children: Susan Johnson, Frank Elasavage, Mary Ann Iwanowski, and Linda Caldwell; sons-in-law Robert Cane and Gary Iwanowski and John Caldwell; daughter-in-law Diane Kingsbury; cherished grandchildren Zackery Cane, Marissa Iwanowski, Brent Iwanowski, Amanda Bullock, Charles Powell, Michael Powell, Aaron Bowie, and Ronnie Bowie; and one great-grandchild, Elena Ahmed; and her niece, Jessica Riesett.
Linda had a generous spirit and was deeply loved by all who knew her. She had a lifelong love and devotion for animals and spent time volunteering at the Harford County Humane Society. Her beloved pets, Maxwell, Chloe and Brewster were her constant companions. She was an avid reader, loved football, playing cards and board games, painting ceramics and had a strong interest in current and world events, she was a “Newsie”. She was the glue that kept the family together. She enjoyed being home sitting by the pool, her private retreat, with family and friends.
