Linda Mary Cartwright, age 77, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Baltimore, she was the cherished daughter of the late Paul Joseph Dignazio and Sara Teresa (Guercio) Dignazio, and the devoted wife of the late Clifford Seamans Cartwright Jr., with whom she shared 41 years of marriage.
Linda was the heart of her family — a proud Italian woman whose strength, resilience, and deep sense of care defined her life. She was a loving mother, a doting grandmother, a loyal sister, and a true friend. Her family was her world, and she poured her heart into every role she held. She was a devout Catholic, whose faith guided and supported her through life.
Linda created a home filled with laughter and love. She was an excellent cook, famous for her potato salad, fried chicken, and peach pie. She found joy in the simple pleasures: a night of bingo with friends, a spontaneous trip to the casino, or a Sunday spent watching her beloved Baltimore Ravens. Football was more than a pastime — it was a passion she had since childhood, and she never missed a Raven’s game. For several years, she held season tickets, cheering for her team with unmatched enthusiasm.
Linda was a loving woman who gave endlessly, loved deeply, and stood firmly by those she loved, embodying the values of loyalty, kindness, and resilience.
She is survived by her children, Clifford Cartwright III, Rachel (Chris) Coutts, and Sandra Caldwell; her grandchildren, Tucker Caldwell, Nathan Caldwell, Reuben Caldwell, Alyssa (Levi) Reese, Alexander Coutts, Collin Cartwright, and Mason Cartwright; her sister, Lisa (Chuck) Levee; her nephew, Paul Levee; and her great-niece, Morgan Levee. She also shared an extraordinary lifelong friendship with Debbie Barlow — a bond that spanned decades and stood the test of time.
Contributions can be made in Linda’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization close to her heart.
