It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Linda M. Ashley, who departed this life on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, at the age of 78.
Born in Maryland to the late Rex Bishop and Ida Catherine (Daugherty) Bishop, Linda was a lifelong servant to others both professionally and personally. She dedicated 27 years of her life as a Registered Nurse, with 25 of those years spent caring for veterans at the Perry Point Veterans Medical Center. Her unwavering compassion and tireless work ethic left a lasting impression on all those she served.
A devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church since its opening in 1963, Linda lived to serve her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She had a deep love for birds—especially cardinals—and will be remembered for her generosity, strong faith, and delightfully quirky sense of humor. Family was Linda’s greatest joy, and her door was always open to anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Ida Bishop, and her sister, Arlene Smith.
Linda is survived by her loving son, Timothy Yarosh of Havre de Grace, Maryland; her cherished grandchildren, Jordan and her wife Tracy Krol of Havre De Grace, Maryland, and Kirsten Yarosh and her life partner, Kaleb White of Harriman, Tennessee; her adored great-grandchildren, Alana and Emmersyn; and her beloved sisters, Carolyn Seaman of Perryman, Maryland, Judy Wagman of Aberdeen, Maryland, and Jeannie Vincenti of Churchville, Maryland. Her absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her.
Linda’s compassion, devotion, and joyful spirit will remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
