Lillian Podles

Lillian Podles, age 91, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on November

18, 2022, at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, Maryland. Born in

Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Andrew and Ida (Turek)

Swieca and wife of the late Joseph L. Podles Jr. She was a member of St.

Ignatius Catholic Church - Hickory and St. Margaret's Catholic Church.

Lillian loved to read and socialize with her neighbors. She also loved

traveling throughout the US, Europe, and Cruising.

Lillian was the beloved mother of sons, Thomas Podles and his wife,

Anita; Joseph L. Podles, III and his wife Andrea Tantillo; and daughters,

Jane Trail; and Nancy Hock and her husband Vincent; devoted

grandmother of Amelia & Matthew Trail and John, Claire, Tommy &

Andrew Podles.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her

sisters, Amelia Przybylski, and Cecelia Swieca, and brother, Henry

Swieca.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at McComas Funeral Home,

50 West Broadway, Bel Air, MD on Tuesday, November 22 from 2:00

pm to 4:00 pm and then again from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. A traditional

Latin Funeral Mass will take place at the National Shrine of Saint

Alphonsus Liguori, 114 W Saratoga St, Baltimore, MD on Wednesday,

November 23 at 11:00 am. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National

Shrine of St. Alphonsus Liguori, 114 West Saratoga St., Baltimore, MD
