LeVerne V. Guthrie

LeVerne V. Guthrie, age 81, of Belcamp, Maryland passed away on November 2, 2023 at Sterling Care Bel Air in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Washington, District of Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Sanford and Thelma (Wilborn) Saunders and wife of the late Ronald Guthrie. She was a member of Maple View Baptist Church member, Former member of Edgewood Baptist Church and former member of Mt. Solon Baptist Church. She was always involved in her church in many ways, including singing in the choir, assisting with Sunday School, Women's ministries, and volunteering for vacation Bible school and participated in women’s bible studies and enjoyed serving her family and friends. She & her husband traveled to Israel to visit the Holy land with their church; She volunteered for the American Cancer Society, and she was a Breast Cancer survivor. She attended the Northwestern High School - Hyattsville, MD. She will most of all be remembered for cherishing her family!    

LeVerne is survived by her; sons, Daniel Jason (Helena) Guthrie and John Frederick Guthrie; daughter, Martha Elaine Lonnquist; grandchildren, Amber Nicole (Andrew) Callender, Amanda Marie (Craig) Wagg, Anjulee Reneta Guthrie, Joseph Christopher Vrablic, Avamae Guthrie and great-granddaughter, Audrey Rose Callender.

In addition to her husband and parents, LeVerne was preceded in death by daughter, Rebecca Guthrie and brother, Wallace Saunders
