Larry E. Ditzenberger

Larry E. Ditzenberger, age 80, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025, in Bel Air, Maryland.

Larry was born in Maryland to the late Harold Kenneth Ditzenberger and Carolene M. (Bull) Ditzenberger. A proud Air Force veteran, Larry served his country with honor and carried that pride throughout his life, especially enjoying visits to the Air Force base with his grandchildren to watch the planes take off and land.

Larry was a religious man and a member of Mountain Christian Church. He was also a Life Member of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Department, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to serving his community.

Larry retired from the Bel Air Post Office, where he worked as a Window Clerk, and later continued his passion for helping others through his work at Father Martin's Ashley in Havre de Grace for nearly a decade.

He will be remembered for his warm and outgoing nature. He never met a stranger and always seemed to run into someone he knew while out running errands with his family. Larry was a man of many interests: an avid reader, a lover of Gospel and Country music, and a craftsman who enjoyed working with leather and tools. He found joy in shopping, going on family vacations—especially to the beach in Lewes, Delaware—and admiring lighthouses. He also cherished picnics and dining out with those he loved.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Ditzenberger; his daughter, Larami Stephan; his son, Lance Ditzenberger and wife Maritza; his cherished grandchildren, Ty Stephan and Cole Stephan; his brother, Harold Ditzenberger, Jr.; and his sister, Susan Paxton.
