Kurt M. Elasavage, 67, of Churchville, MD passed away on April 19, 2015 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. Born in Vienna, Austria, he was the stepson of the late Frank J. Elasavage and son of the late Markos Aronovicz and Ingeborg Eldetrude Benda Elasavage. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, where he was an expert marksman, and retired from Bowie State College where he was a Systems Analyst. He was the owner of Riverside Chevron and WASA radio station, both in Havre de Grace. He also owned a pet store, Tropical Pets in Rosedale, as well as, Moby Dicks in Baltimore. He was a member of the Astronomical Society at Harford Community College, the Havre de Grace Lions Club and the American Legion.
Mr. Elasavage is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Rae Elasavage; son, Frank M. Elasavage of Owings Mills; daughters, Mary A. Iwanowski and husband, Gary, of Abingdon, Linda C. Caldwell and husband John, of Aberdeen, Patricia Bowie and husband, Ron, of Korea, Susan A. Johnson of Catonsville and Catherine M. Cline of Perryman; sister, Ingeborg Pauline Walker of Bristol, TN; and eight grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Anne-Marie Reiber.
Pallbearers will be his son Frank M. Elasavage and grandchildren, Brent A. Iwanowski, Charles A. Powell III, Michael A. Powell, Zackery A. Cane and Marissa E. Iwanowski. Honorary pallbearer will be Amanda N. Bullock.
