Kent Wilhelm

Kent Lee Ovington Wilhelm, 88, of Fallston, Maryland passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025 at Upper Chesapeake Hospital in Bel Air, Maryland.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Patricia, three daughters Kathleen Scarborough (Edmund), Kelly Keyes (David), Christine Hinds (Kurt); sister Kathleen Phipps; grandchildren Eddie Scarborough (Ashley), Megan McMillan (Robbie), Patrick Scarborough (Brooke), Brendan Hinds, Clare Hinds; great-grandchildren Emmy Scarborough, Gavin Scarborough, Rowan Scarborough, Ben McMillan, and Addie McMillan. Preceded in death by grandson Benjamin Keyes.

Kent’s career as an accountant spanned 33 years, most notably in the metal industry at Eastern Stainless Steel as Vice President, Controller. However, his life’s work was his love for family and commitment to community service.

Kent was a proud member of the Fallston Lions Club, which he served the community for over 50 years. During that time he was well known as the bingo caller at Lions Sunday bingo at Fallston Volunteer Fire Department, ambassador to Fallston High School for the Fallston Lions Club Scholarship committee, and a recipient of The Melvin Jones Lions International Award.

He and his wife Patricia also delivered Meals on Wheels in the community, and were faithful members of Saint Mark’s Church in Fallston, Maryland since 1971.

Kent’s favorite hobbies were golf outings with his pals, playing Sudoku, reading, and listening to his favorite music. The family will always remember his Christmas traditions of making clams casino and Manhattans, playing Herb Albert during Christmas cookie making, and more recently, playing Secret Santa with the ladies in the family.
