Kenneth Gerald Hirsch, age 57, of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, in Bel Air. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late John Emil Hirsch and Marlene Rosalie (Rebbert) Hirsch.

A 1986 graduate of Archbishop Curley High School, Ken graduated from Towson State University in 1990. In 2022 he retired from the State of Maryland after more than 30 years at various jobs with Recreation and Parks, Education, Corrections, and Parole and Probation. He was dedicated to his career and the service he provided throughout his many years with the State.

Kenneth had a very “sly” sense of humor and was known for his unique wit and practical jokes. He was a true-crime fan and enjoyed following the stories and cases that fascinated him. Ken also maintained a lifelong interest in politics and stood as a candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates in 1990, losing a close race. He continued to follow and be involved in local politics throughout his life.

Ken is survived by his brother, Larry Hirsch and sister-in-law Rachel Creighton Hirsch.
