Keith Allen Rhew, affectionately known as “The Rhewster,” passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland, at the age of 45. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised by his loving parents, Linda Lou Rhew, and the late Jack Dennis Rhew.
Keith was a devoted husband to Erica Lauren Rhew and a proud and loving father to his children, Luke Christian Rhew and Olivia Grace Rhew. He is also survived by his brothers, Eric Anthony Rhew and Joseph Walter Rhew, and his sister, Nicole Summer Whitman.
A graduate of Carver Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1999, Keith built a strong work ethic early in life that carried through his career. As a heavy wrecker tow operator, he was known for his unwavering focus on safety, reliability and expertise. Early into his career he started his own business, Kanga-Rhew Transport and most recently was a proud member of the BBT & Recovery Wrecker Service family.
Keith was a hardworking, family-oriented man, putting himself aside to provide the best life he could for his family. He had a deep love for Maryland, which he always called home, but North Carolina also held a special place in his heart where he enjoyed vacationing and visiting family. He loved spending time with those closest to him and ensuring that their time together was spent creating lasting memories.
Above all, Keith was a caregiver at heart—the first to lend a helping hand, regardless of the situation. His love for his wife and children was evident in everything he did, from showing up for every important moment to creating cherished traditions like family Mario Kart battles, family movie nights, water wars and waking up early to prepare “Dad’s Special Breakfast,” a spread his children will always remember. He was deeply committed to his personal growth, constantly striving to be the best husband and father he could be.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for the direct benefit of Luke and Olivia can be made via GoFundMe for Keith Rhew's family or directly via venmo @erica-rhew.
Keith Allen Rhew will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his unwavering love, generosity, and dedication to his family and all who knew him.
