Kathleen Anne Eichensehr, 76, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, at Forest Hill Heights in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born on April 17, 1949, in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, she lived a life marked by compassion, strength, and an unwavering devotion to those around her.
A proud graduate of Huntingdon High School—where she walked alongside her future husband Phil—and later Shippensburg University, Kathy valued education and the lifelong friendships it fostered. Education was a core value in the Eichensehr home, and Kathy felt immense pride in her childrens’ and grandchildrens’ successes.
Kathy was a very giving and compassionate woman whose love for her family knew no bounds. She found immense joy in family vacations at the beach, where laughter and togetherness created cherished memories. Christmas was another treasured time for her—she delighted in over-giving during the holidays, ensuring that each gift reflected her thoughtfulness and love.
Her faith was an important part of her life. She enjoyed attending services at Prince of Peace Church, where she found community and spiritual nourishment. Kathy also took great pride in celebrating her husband's work with Habitat for Humanity, supporting his efforts to build homes and hope for others.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years Phil Eichensehr, sons Phillip Aaron (Darcee) Eichensehr and Adam (Charyl) Eichensehr; daughter Angela (Jon) Helfman; and her adoring grandchildren Joseph, Vanessa, Victoria, Owen, Hannah, Brooke, Andie Mae, and Emma. Her presence in their lives was a source of strength and warmth that will be deeply missed.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father Alva Loudon Miller, Jr. and mother Frances Patricia Dougherty; her sister Shannon Bair; and her brothers Pat and John Miller.
A force of love and care within her family, Kathy leaves behind a legacy of strength and love that will continue to inspire all who knew her. May her memory be a blessing to those who loved her.
