Kathryn Anne Fabula, age 39, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in Conowingo, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the beloved daughter of Nancy Irene (Shipley) Defeo and Edward Albert Fabula.

Kathryn is survived by her fiancé Ellie Reed, her mother, Nancy Defeo and her stepdad, Christopher; her father, Edward Fabula; her sister, Kristelle Waddell and her husband Michael; her nieces and nephews, Quin, Arlo, June and Ruby and many loving aunts and uncles, Pat and Dave Wilson, Susan Varholy, Rusty and Vernon Wallace, Deb Huckeba and Jim Clayton, Joe and Lisa Shipley, and Christine Fabula, and cousins George Fabula, Jennifer Wallace, Jim Wallace, Mike and Cara Varholy, Beth and Jason Witmer, Matt Varholy, Amy Eagle, Kevin and Sarah Shipley, Lauren Shipley, and Wyatt Huckeba and Laura Pumphrey.

She will be remembered for the true faith and love she shared with her family, the beautiful music she made, her incredible voice and her ability to find laughter and wonder in each and every day.

A private memorial will be held with family members only on Monday, March 2, 2026. A celebration of Kate’s life will be held in 4 to 6 weeks.
