Judy G. Henson

Judith Gay Henson, age 85, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in Bel Air, MD.

Judith was born in Grayson, Kentucky, to the late Albert John Gobel, Sr. and Gladys (Griffith) Hannah.

She was the beloved wife of Herman Henson, who preceded her in death. Judith is survived by her loving sisters and brothers, George "Frank" (Janice) Gobel, Joyce Sachs, Donna Pinkerton, Albert (Susan) Gobel, Jr., Brenda Henson; sister-in-law Jean Gobel; and her stepsons whom she cared for deeply: Herman “Michael” Henson, Steven (JoAnna) Henson, Joseph (Cindy) Henson, and Anthony Lawrence (Marnie) Henson.

Judith had a deep love for nature and spent countless hours working outdoors in her garden. She found joy in caring for animals and faithfully fed the wildlife around her home, including deer, foxes, and groundhogs. She also took special care of the neighborhood feral cats and adored her little dogs. One of her favorite pastimes was watching birds at her feeder. Judith approached life with the amazement and wonder of a child — always kind, always positive, and an inspiring example to everyone who knew her.
