Joyce Joann Anderson

Joyce Joann Anderson, age 79, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on April 12, 2023 at Sterling Care Bel Air in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of Hurley Preston Parks and Edith (Anderson) Gullion. Joyce worked as a talented and dedicated office administrator at Aberdeen Proving Ground for 20 years, working her way up the ranks.

Throughout her life, Joyce was fun-loving and had a great sense of humor. She was also a humanitarian at heart, always helping whoever she could. Her positive spirit was often seen volunteering at church, feeding the homeless, and donating to those in need. Over the years, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren; vacationing with family in Ocean City and Deep Creek, MD; and traveling to visit with family out of state.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Steven Craig Anderson. Joyce is survived by her husband of 59 years, Frederick Anderson; son, Brian (Tracy) Anderson; daughter, Loretta (Lori) Anderson-Pollack (Andrew); grandchildren, Madeline, Maxwell, and Macey Anderson; and Rebecca (John) Burkhardt, and Ellie (Ian) Pollack.
