Joseph Lemuel Esworthy,Jr.

Joseph L. Esworthy, Jr., age 72, of Jarrettsville, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in Bel Air, MD.

Joseph was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the son of the late Joseph L. Esworthy, Sr., and the late Virginia (Canoles) Esworthy.

Joseph proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Esworthy.

Joseph is survived by his brothers, Thomas (Marina) Esworthy and Robert (Michelle) Esworthy; his sisters, Ginger (Ed) Townsend, Nancy Gooner (Mark), and Shirley (Donald) Huffer; as well as Susanne Reiter and Matthew Esworthy.

Joseph was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gambling. He especially loved taking road trips with his brothers, visiting Ocean City, Maryland, Gettysburg, and West Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Harford County.
