Joseph Day Zissimos

Joseph Day Zissimos of Joppa, MD passed away at the age of 66 on May 3, 2016, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William Atha and Loma Katherine (Day) Zissimos. He had worked as a Procurement Officer for Baltimore City for 17 years and for the State of Maryland for 10 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and collected coins and stamps. He enjoyed playing cards, taking drives, WWII history and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Zissimos is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carole Ann (Hieronimus) Zissimos; children, Vanessa Schley, Joseph S. Zissimos (Karen) and Christian W. Zissimos (Patricia); brother, Thomas Zissimos; and grandchildren, Alayna, Katie, Nick, Dani, Jake and Brad.
