Joseph W. Britton, age 68, of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away on November 26, 2024. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late James and Ethel (Potter) Britton and the beloved husband of Nancy Hines.

Joseph was a passionate sports fan who cheered fervently for the Washington Capitals, Baltimore Ravens, Orioles, and Maryland Terrapins. He was equally enthusiastic about Disney and rock and roll music, which brought him immense joy throughout his life. Joseph had a remarkable gift for storytelling and a quirky sense of humor that could brighten anyone’s day. He took pride in his entrepreneurial spirit and loved sharing stories about his Amazon business, a true testament to his drive and creativity.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Nancy; his daughters, Jessica Britton, and Rachael Britton; his stepsons, Jason Gaver and Adam Hines (Jennie Towner); his stepdaughter, Dana Cross; 11 cherished grandchildren; his sisters, Catherine, and Kelly; his brothers, John, Jim, and Bryant; and his lifelong friend, Bill Ruffing.

In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his sisters, Ella and Verna, and his brother, James.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Our King Presbyterian Church, 10 Lexington Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014.
