Obituary

John “Bob” Robert Spicer, age 88, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

Born in Hickory, Maryland, Bob was the beloved son of the late John Morgan Spicer and the late Eulah (Woodye) Spicer.

Bob retired from Belko Rubber Company with 35 years of service and not one write-up in all his years of service.

Bob lived a simple and good life centered around family, friendships, and the hobbies he loved most. A lifelong automobile enthusiast, he enjoyed drag racing in his younger years and had a special fondness for his beloved 1955 Chevrolet. His passion for motorsports continued throughout his life, and he was an avid NASCAR fan.

Motorcycles held a special place in Bob's heart. Alongside his brothers, he owned and operated Spicers Triumph Motorcycles, a venture that combined both family and his love for riding. He took great pride in his motorcycles and was well known for keeping each one spotless and meticulously maintained. In his later years, he especially enjoyed spending time riding and appreciating the freedom that motorcycling provided.

Bob enjoyed watching TV and listening to music. He found joy in life's simple pleasures and will be remembered for his easygoing nature, dedication to family, and his big genuine smile.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosa Marie Spicer; his parents, John Morgan Spicer and Eulah (Woodye) Spicer; his grandson, Nicholas Costanza; and his brothers, Samuel Spicer and Thomas Spicer.

He is survived by his loving children, Samuel Spicer; John “BJ” Spicer, Jr.; and Toni Brush and her significant other, Steve Foutty; He is also survived by his granddaughter, Amanda Berry and her husband, Cole; his great-grandchildren, Fae Berry, Farrah Berry, Nesta Berry, and Conway Berry; his brother, Ronald Spicer; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
