John Raymond Koryto, Sr.

John Raymond Koryto, Sr., age 87, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on October 20, 2022 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of John and Emma (Long) Koryto. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked at Western Electric for 32 years retiring in 1985. John enjoyed coaching baseball and football when his children were young. He bowled on a duck pin league with St. Stephens Catholic Church and liked to coordinate cruises with his family and friends traveling all over. When John retired, his part time job became going to flea markets where he found treasures.

John is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen Koryto; Douglas A. Koryto and John (Georgine) R. Koryto, Jr.; and grandchildren, Nicholas A. Koryto and Christopher B. Koryto.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, John Koryto Dyke.
