John William "Bill" Powell, age 84, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Raymond Thomas Powell and Dorothy (Schmitt) Powell and the husband of the late Nancy Ellen (Bartlebaugh) Powell.
John is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Powell; his parents, Raymond and Dorothy Powell, his sister Dorothea Longo, his brothers Robert and Raymond Powell and his daughter, Michele Campbell.
He is survived by his sons, John (Bonnie) Powell, Jr. and Mark (Phyllis) Powell; step-daughter Tamara Dougherty; grandchildren, Justen Campbell, Madisan Campbell, Rachel Peak, Kristin Ruzicka, and Amanda Dougherty; great-grandchildren, Millie Ruzicka, Ljay Ruzicka and Harley Berry and sister, June Morris.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
