John C. Kowalewski

John C. Kowalewski, age 85, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Adolph Kowalewski and the late Mary (Lipkowski) Kowalewski.

John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 17 ½ years and was a member of the rifle team during his time in the service. Following his military career, he retired from IBM after many years of dedicated employment. In his free time, John enjoyed riding motorcycles and flying. He was known for keeping to himself and enjoyed the quiet life as a self-described recluse.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by sisters, Josephine Adcock and Theresa Nowicki.

He is survived by his loving children, Christine (Joe) Greene, Lisa Shepard, Scott (Cathy) Kowalewski, and Valerie (Bill) Kowalewski; and his cherished grandchildren, Johnathon, Michael, Sarah, Shawn, Alex, Justin, and Jessica.
