John William Gann

John William Gann, age 85, of Joppa, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Joppa, Maryland.

Born in Arkansas, John was the beloved son of the late Ernest F. Gann and the late Ina Mae (Knight) Gann.

Known affectionately as “Johnny,” John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and carried that dedication and sense of commitment throughout his life.

John was a golf enthusiast for many years and greatly enjoyed spending time on many golf courses, especially Indian Rock. He and his beloved wife, Eileen (Niederwemmer) Gann, also shared a love of travel. Together, they enjoyed traveling by car throughout the United States, creating many wonderful memories along the way, often accompanied by their grandson, Nick.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Potts.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Eileen (Niederwemmer) Gann; his sons, Kevin (Denise) Gann and Scott (Lynn) Gann; his daughter, Penni Gann; his grandchildren, Maggie Gann, Madison Gann, Cole Gann, Nicholas (Emelie) Gann, and Kristine Gonzales; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory, including Janelle and Glenn Myers.
