Joan Ada Palmer

September 9, 1943 — September 6, 2022

On the 6th day of September, 2022, Joan Ada Palmer (nee Goodman) went home to be with God as she was surrounded by her family at her home in Abingdon. Joan was born to the late Lynn Leonard and Lois Riddell Goodman (nee Gamble) of Williamsport, Pennsylvania on September 9, 1943.

Joan was a registered nurse for 53 years, starting when she graduated from Church Home and Hospital in 1964. Joan loved to talk to new people and was known for making friends anywhere she went. She also loved camping traveling, reading, watching a good musical, square dancing, sewing, crocheting, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Joan was a devout member of her church, Wesleyan Chapel United Methodist Church, where she will be laid to rest. Joan’s big heart and her gracious spirit will surely be missed by everyone.
