Janice Rufe

Janice Rufe, age 79, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on September 15, 2021 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Felix Anthony and Mildred Virgina (St. Pierre) Van Detta and wife of the late Francis John Rufe. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She retired from Bank of America where she worked as a teller for many years. Recently, she loved to color. In past years, she enjoyed sewing and cake decorating.

Janice is survived by her son, Dennis (Charlotte Price) B. Barrett; daughter, Cheryl (Randall) A. Bright; step-sons, John (Cindy) P. Rufe, and Paul F. Rufe; granddaughters, Christina Bradford and Stephanie Perrot and grandson Michael Perrot; four great grandchildren; and brother, Jimmy (Jeannine) Van Detta.
