Janet Celeste Becker, age 86, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Janet was the beloved daughter of the late William Vernon Dotterer, Sr. and Lucille Virginia (Powell) Dotterer. She was also preceded in death by her son, Scott Becker.

Janet shared 65 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Richard Becker. She was a loving and dedicated mother to Patricia (Mark) Graybeal and Debra (Christopher) Morton. She was a cherished grandmother to Brandon Graybeal, Benjamin Graybeal, Ryan Morton, Sarah Morton, Stephanie Becker, and Nicholas Becker. She is also survived by her brother, William (Carolyn) Dotterer, Jr.

Janet was deeply family-oriented and found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved. She was an excellent cook who made family dinners a priority, and she will be especially remembered for her delicious cookies and her famous chicken and rice. Janet loved the beach and looked forward to annual trips to Ocean City, where she enjoyed soaking up the sun. She had a fondness for flamingos, and was an avid reader of Danielle Steel’s romance novels. Janet took pride in her flower garden and loved attending car shows with her husband, Richard.

Known for her great sense of humor, Janet was always smiling and brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met. She was a caring, thoughtful, and appreciative person whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
