James Edward Vaughan, Jr.

James Edward Vaughan, Jr., age 59, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025. Born in Winchester, Virginia, he was the son of the late James Vaughan and Susan Vaughan.

James was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He was well versed in hunting deer, rabbits, and anything else that was in season. He loved beagles and enjoyed training them to hunt rabbits. He also had a great appreciation for music—southern rock, bluegrass, and rebel country were among his favorites.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Alishia Vaughan.

James is survived by his son, James (Ashley) Vaughan III; grandchildren, Alishia Vaughan, Jason Simms, and Brooke Simms; brothers, John Vaughan and Joey Vaughan; and sisters, Christine Snow and Corena Dowe.
