James John Richardson, 85, of Street, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, Maryland.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, James was the son of the late John G. Richardson and Stella (Richardson) Richardson. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his siblings: Mary Bankert, David Richardson, Annabelle Nickles, and Priscilla Fletcher.
James is survived by his loving and devoted wife of nearly 60 years, Alice Faye Richardson, whom he married in June 1966. Their enduring marriage was a testament to love, commitment, and partnership. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Richardson and his sister, Pat Hicks. He leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, whom he cherished deeply.
James was a loving, caring, and devoted husband who would do anything for anyone in need. He had a deep love for his church, his friends, and especially his family. He will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and the joy he found in the simple things in life.
A man of many passions, James was rarely seen without his beloved tractors and took great pride in spending time working with them. He had a keen interest in photography and was well known for recording weddings and church services at Emory United Methodist Church, preserving countless cherished memories for families and the community. He especially loved capturing meaningful moments of his own family.
James also enjoyed attending auctions, where he delighted in discovering unique treasures and “toys” to bring home to his wife. He had a deep appreciation for antiques and collectibles, always finding value and history in the items he gathered over the years.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Emory United Methodist Church.
James will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love he gave so freely and the memories he helped create for so many.
