James Henry Jackson

James Henry Jackson, age 87, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on November 25, 2012 at Manor Care in Rosedale, MD. Born in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Clarence and Carrie Rhem Jackson. An "ornery ole' fellow" he loved to play cards, do word puzzles and whistle "Danny Boy". He also loved to bake Peach Cobbler and Sweet Potato Pie.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Lula Virlene Browning Jackson of Abingdon, MD; sons, Ronald Jackson and James L. Jackson, both of Norfolk, VA and Jerome Jackson of New York, NY; daughters, Lula R. Jackson of Coatesville, PA, Beverly J. Tanksley and Cheryl Jackson, both of Albany, NY; brother, Fred Jackson of Portland, OR; sisters, Christine Carter, Ernestine Carter and Lillian Jackson; many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Stonewall Jackson of Albany, NY and sister, Vicky Motley.
