J. Roland Phipps

J. Roland Phipps, age 84, of Ocean City, MD, passed away on February 22, 2013 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD. Born in Tracy, MD, he was the son of the late Ernest William and Hazel Lucille Wade Phipps. He worked in the auto parts supply business all of his life and in 1968, started East Coast Inventory, which was an auto parts inventory business.

Mr. Phipps is survived by his wife, who he married in 1964, Renee A. Phipps; sons, John R. Phipps of Parkville and David L. Phipps of Bowleys Quarters; daughters, Barbara L. Smith of St. Clair and Jacqueline L. Southerington of Joppatowne; brothers, J. Melvin Phipps of Charlestown, WV and B. Leroy Phipps of Jarrettsville; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
