J. D. Cole

J.D. COLE, age 78, of Edgewood, Maryland, died at Mariner Health of Bel Air, Maryland, on January 19, 2003. Born in Murphy, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Frank and Winifred Warren Cole. He worked as a steel inspector for Bethlehem Steel Corporation. He enjoyed his motor home, camping, traveling, hiking and walking. He also enjoyed his wife’s guitar music and singing.

Mr. Cole is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lola Nell Waters Cole; one daughter, Peggy Cole Dube of Hopkinton, Massachusetts; three brothers, John Cole of Acworth, Georgia; Duane Cole of Morganton, Georgia; Benjamin Cole of Mineral Bluff, Georgia; three sisters, Deane Cole Dillard of Louisville, Tennessee; Diane Cole Yarbrough of Blue Ridge, Georgia; Martha Smith of Morganton, Georgia; two grandchildren, Vanessa Gabrielle Dube and Jonathan Alexander Dube, both of Hopkinton, Massachusetts. He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Forrest Doyle Cole; Alvin Cole; Warren Cole; sister, Lucille Cole Bubsey.
