Hubert Mang

Hubert “Hubie” Mang, age 95, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

Born in Germany, Hubert was the beloved son of the late Georg Mang and Creszenz (Maier) Mang. He was the devoted husband of the late Anna Maria (Bauer) Mang. Together they built a life grounded in faith, family, and hard work.

Hubert was a longtime member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Hickory. Known affectionately by many as “Hubie,” he had a deep love for the outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time in nature—hunting, observing wildlife, birdwatching, and caring for his dogs.

He proudly worked as an Electrical Engineer at Bethlehem Shipyard for over 30 years until his retirement. His dedication and craftsmanship left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him.

Hubert was preceded in death by his daughter, Iris Kuehnhold.

He is survived by his sons, Steven Mang and his wife Kristen, and Robert Mang and his wife Colleen. He was a cherished grandfather to Katherine Mang, Carolyn Mang, Clayton Mang, Justin Mang, Peter Kuehnhold, and Andreas Kuehnhold. Hubert is also survived by five great-grandchildren, who brought much joy to his later years.
