Howard R. Kendall Jr.

Howard R. Kendall Jr., 93, of Bel Air, MD passed away on April 25, 2015 at his home. Born in Smithsburg, MD, he was the son of the late Howard Russell Kendall Sr. and Charlotte Catherine Yowler Kendall. He had worked as a construction superintendent and was an active member of Bel Air United Methodist Church for many years. He and his wife won the 1985 Yard Beautification Award in their neighborhood and later they won a second award for their Dogwood tree. He was very proud of his yard.

Mr. Kendall is survived by his wife of 73 years, Charlotte R. (Eccard) Kendall; granddaughter, Sharon E. Leasure and husband, Jeffrey, of Forest Hill; great-grandsons, Kyle, Joshua and Nicholas Leasure; Goddaughter, Linda L . Marcin and husband Stephen, of Seven Valleys, PA.; brother, Reginald Kendall of Waynesboro, PA.; sister, Betty Eckstine of Smithsburg; and daughter-in-law, Mary Kendall of Abingdon. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son, Claude George Kendall and wife, Mary Lou, brothers, Larry and Eugene Kendall; and sister, Gloria Jones.
