Henry "Hank" Danker, age 87, a beloved resident of Joppa, Maryland, departed this life on February 13, 2024, surrounded by love and care at Lorien Bel Air in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Cherry Creek, New York, he was the cherished son of the late Roger and Dorothy Danker and loving husband of the late Sandy (Smith) Danker.
Henry proudly served his country as a Marine from 1958-1961, with a notable stint guarding the White House during President Eisenhower's tenure. He was a dedicated member of Salem United Methodist Church for an impressive 50 years, finding solace and community within its walls. Additionally, he dedicated 40 years of his life to the International Union of Elevator Constructors, local number 7, where he exemplified hard work and camaraderie.
Beyond his professional and civic endeavors, Henry had a zest for life. He found joy in the simple pleasures of trap shooting, immersing himself in the beauty of the outdoors, and tinkering with cars, pursuits that brought him both relaxation and fulfillment.
Henry leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted son, Jason (Jackie) Danker, and daughters Vicky (Al) Alluisi, Kimberly (Maurice Ridley) Mihm, Sherry Bishop and Dianna Butcher, and son Tab Danker who will forever carry his spirit forward. He also leaves behind several adoring grandchildren including Logan Danker and great-grandchildren, as well as his beloved sister, Jeri Yauchzy.
